Easter Seals Alberta

Easter Seals Alberta is a registered charity that provides services that foster inclusion, independence and recreation for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. Their Family Resource Center is a trusted hub providing vital guidance and resources to families and caregivers in need. We offer support with Guardianship, Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) applications.

 

It also offers accessibility supports with mobility equipment, home automation and educational scholarships. Easter Seals Alberta’s Camp Horizon is a fully accessible camp located just outside of Bragg Creek, Alberta. Camp Horizon provides year-round inclusive camp experiences for individuals of all ages with disabilities and medical conditions. McQueen Home is a self-governed, 24-hour personal care residence in Edmonton for people with disabilities looking to achieve more independence, greater inclusion in the community and access to employment, education and recreation.

Transitional Vocational Program - Mount Royal University

The Transitional Vocational Program offers a number of different programs to adults with developmental disabilities. One program is the The Employment Preparation Certificate Program which is a year long program where students are taught pre-employment skills and are supported to find and maintain competitive employment. We also offer a variety of part-time classes that are designed to meet your needs and interests and build on life skills to promote independence.

Columbia College Employment Partnerships

Empowering Abilities and Building inclusive workplaces by preparing people with barriers to employment with soft skills training and supporting them trough the employment process. Supports include employment preparation classes, one on one with specialists to build resumes, job search, job application, interview preparation and on-site work support especially during on-boarding.
